You can now come extremely close to what most people only dream of...Racing V8 racecars! Drive a fully race prepared V8 on Brisbane's Queensland Raceway...Australia's newest FIA standard race track...

These Tickford XR8s have Hi-Performance ECUs and are race prepared with roll cages, safety harness, race seats and slick tyres. You will be supplied with a race suit and helmet.

The experience begins with a 30 minute briefing including how to approach the track, the lines and apexes to follow as well as what to expect when driving an actual race car.

When you hit the track, you will be accompanied by a professional trainer who can advise you on advanced driving techniques to ensure that you gain the most from your experience. To conclude you will be presented with a certificate and photo as memorabilia of you V8 experience.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Is there a height and weight restriction?
A: There is a height restriction of approximately 6.7” and also a weight restriction of 135kg

Q: Can friends and family come down and watch the drive?
A: Spectators are more than welcome to come and share in this great experience.

Q: Can you get DVD’s and/or Photos of the drive?
A: If you are Driving the car yourself then a DVD is available for purchase on the day for $50.

Q: Are the cars automatic or Manual?
A: The cars available are manual cars.

Q: Do you need a full driver’s license to participate?
A: No, to be able to drive as long as you hold your ‘P’ plates or equivalent that is fine. International Drivers licenses can also be used so long as they are recognised in Australia – please enquire if you are unsure.

Q: If my license is suspended can I still drive?
A: No, once you have been suspended you cannot drive until you get your licence back. However you can be a passenger in the car.

Q: Can you do both driving and being driven?
A: With the basic 5 lap package you can do one or the other.

Q: Can you book weekend dates?
A. Yes weekend dates are available for you to book on.

Queensland , Willowbank.

Duration:

Best to allow two and a half hours for the entire experience. Driving time is five laps (approx. 12 km's) of the race circuit at your own speed.

Dress Code:

You will be supplied with a race suit and helmet, therefore normal street attire is suitable.

Please note the available dates are generally released about 3 - 4 weeks in advance.

Weight limit of 135 Kg

You will potentially be travelling at high speeds in a race car which is a physical challenge and may place you under G forces far more significant than a road car can generate, within this environment you may be shaken within you seat. Family and Friends are welcome as spectators on the day.
At least 'P' Plates are required to drive on the day.
Must let us know if you want a Ford Falcon AU2 XR8 or Holden Commodore VT for the day so we can put you into the right group.
