You will experience an adrenalin rush on the Sunshine Coast, like nothing else on earth. You will come within centimetres of large grey nurse sharks, as well as leopard sharks, white tip reef sharks, shovel nosed and the sleek whaler sharks.

You'll be face to face with black bullrays, coachwhip rays, giant groper, spangled red emperors, sweetlip, snapper, bream, remoras, wobbegongs and much more! This is a fantastic experience for all ages and skill levels.

Q. Is the Shark Dive Safe?
A. The sharks are the most docile in the ocean. There has been 15,000 people in the shark tank over the past 15 years and there has never been one single incident.

Q. Any requirements?
A. Do not drink alcohol within 12 hours before the dive and do not fly in an aircraft within 24 hours after your dive.
Participants must have a satisfactory level of health. medical restrictions apply as some conditions can exclude you from diving. These include asthma, epilepsy, chronic chest, sinus or ear problems, recent injuries or surgeries and psychological problems.You need to be "at home" in the water. A medical declaration and an indemnity form must be signed.

Q. Can I get my photo taken in the shark tank?
A. Yes, the instructor takes a digital camera into the tank and will try to get a photo of you, with a shark in the background. After completing the dive you will be able to view the images.

Q. Is there a shark cage for the dive?
A. There are no cages.

Q. What do I need to bring?
A. Swimming costume, towel and toiletries
Certified and Tune Up divers must bring dive certification card

Q. Can I bring my own equipment?
A. All equipment is supplied, but you can bring own your full length wetsuit and mask

Q. Present for friends and family?
A. Gift certificates are available for purchase

Q. Can my friends watch me dive?
A. Friends and family can watch from the safety of the viewing tunnel and wave, blow kisses and take photographs
They will also receive 10% discount on admission to watch you dive. You will enter the Oceanarium approximately twenty minutes after your dive starts

Q. Are there change rooms?
A. Change room, lockers and shower facilities are available.

Q. How long will the shark dive take?
A. You should allow about 1hour 30mins for the shark dive. This time is broken up by 15mins gearing up period, 20-30min scuba lesson (non-divers only), 30mins in the shark tank, and 10mins getting changed.

Q. Ladies?
A. Ladies: please note if you have your menstrual cycle it does not affect our sharks or your ability to dive

Q. If there are a few of us who want to do the shark dive Is it possible to do the shark dive together (in the same group)?
A. There are a maximum of 5 people in each group. So when you book your shark dive, make sure you are all in the same group. This may require booking 2-3 weeks in advance.

Q. What is the Minimum age?
A. 14 years.

Q. Is it possible to do the shark dive if I cannot swim?
A. Yes, it is possible for you to do the shark dive. There is no swimming involved during the shark dive experience

Duration:

Best to allow one and a half hours for the entire experience. Approx 30-40 mins will be amongst the Sharks. Run only at 1.30pm or if that time is booked out then 3pm.

Dress Code:

All diving gear is supplied. You will need your bathing suit.

Additional Info:

All gear is provided and your experience will be fully supervised by our expert instructors. You will be given a complete diving lesson so as to be equipped with all the necessary skills to complete the dive in a safe and controlled manner. Don't run on Tuesdays.
