Hot Air Balloon Wedding - Byron Bay, NSW

What better way to celebrate your new life together than at the beginning of a new day? A hot air balloon wedding at sunrise is the perfect backdrop to your ceremony. This is an exclusive flight so the wedding party will be the only people in the balloon, except of course for the crew.

Hot air ballooning in Byron bay takes place as the new day is beginning. The air is stable and the winds are calm, ensuring a tranquil hot air balloon flight.

You are picked up approximately one hour before sunrise from your accommodation in the Byron Bay area, or from the meeting point at the Tyagarah Airfield. From their you will be driven to the launch site.

As the sun’s first rays lighten the skies, the balloon swells, slowly taking its form . . . After a short flight briefing, you are welcome to help with the inflation, or stand back and take photographs.

Soon after, the balloon silently takes off and starts drifting with the wind, controlled by the experienced pilot that will give you a brief introduction to how a balloon is controlled and flown.

Mount Warning, the large volcano with its massive caldera dominates the horizon to the north and the endless blue ocean to the east.

After landing in a farmer’s field, relax and enjoy the early morning atmosphere over a complimentary glass of chilled Champagne, or join us for a gourmet breakfast at the five star guest house 'Victoria's'.

A personalized ’Flight Certificate’ is given to each passenger, to round off a fabulous morning.

Locations:

Byron Bay, NSW. We have about 20 different launch sites within a 50km radius of Byron Bay, and these locations are individually chosen to give you the best possible flights for the prevailing wind direction.

Duration:

Your ballooning experience will entertain you for 3 to 4 hours. It is a period of time that you will be talking about far into the future. The actual flying time is about one hour with balloon preparation, briefing, landing, pack away and the sipping of champagne occupying the remainder of the time.

Dress Code:

Wedding ceremonies can be performed with traditional dress or more casual attire. Flat shoes are recommended

This is a private flight and holds only 4 passengers. We do have another balloon available for weddings, this balloon holds up to 12 passengers. The price for this balloon is $2750.

This experience is dependent on the weather.
